From May 10 to June 14, every Saturday, join the Bologna Food Tour: tastings and guided visits to local producers.
Hop on a bus from the center of Bologna and set off to explore the city’s iconic products and the rich flavors of its surrounding region!

Saturday, May 10 – The Scents of the Countryside: Edible Flowers & a Rustic Aperitivo
Discover two unique farms in the Bolognese plains: Donatella’s small farm, where she grows fresh and dried edible flowers and rare herbs for high-end restaurants, and enjoy a tasting of canapés, mousses, cheeses, and cookies made with her products.
Next, visit the Museum of Rural Life and explore an old-fashioned kitchen, complete with an original hearth, hemp-drying corner, and a traditional bread oven. The day wraps up with a countryside aperitivo featuring Pignoletto wine and crescentine (fried dough), courtesy of Locanda di Villa Smeraldi.
Saturday, May 17 – From the Farm to the Vineyard: A Journey of Flavors
Take a guided tour of Le Mucche di Guglielmo farm, where you’ll learn about daily farm life. Meet Guglielmo’s cows, visit the hayloft, and watch the milking process. Finish the visit with a tasting of fresh and aged cheeses, along with fascinating insights into how they’re made.
Next, head to the I Dievol vineyard and cellar, where you'll learn about the different types of vines and the winemaking process. Enjoy a dinner featuring crescentine and tigelle (traditional Bolognese flatbreads) with cured meats and cheeses, paired with a tasting of three wines.
Saturday, May 24 – Hands in the Dough: Fresh Pasta Workshop & Wine Tasting in the Cellar
Join the sfogline (pasta masters) of Borgo Tossignano for a hands-on pasta-making workshop in celebration of Tortellino Day! Learn to make tortellini from scratch, one of the most beloved dishes in our culinary tradition.
Then, visit Ca' Bruciata vineyard and cellar for an introduction to their winemaking process, followed by a tasting of three wines (Pignoletto, Albana, and Sangiovese), served with piadina, cured meats, and cheeses.
Saturday, May 31 – From the Farm to the Palace: Authentic Flavors & Historic Atmospheres
Head to the Bolognese plains and visit AgriConCura, where passion for the land and respect for animals blend together. Meet the farm animals, including friendly alpacas, and taste fresh focaccia and preserves made from their products.
Next, visit Palazzo Minelli, a historic residence surrounded by the lush countryside, which hosts a welcoming agriturismo. Here, you can take cooking classes and enjoy activities that connect you with nature. We’ll end with a garden refreshment featuring local honeys, cheeses, cured meats, and wines.
Saturday, June 7 – From Olives to Oil & the Art of Wine
Start your day at Frantoio Valsanterno, where you’ll take a stroll through the olive groves overlooking the Santerno Valley, followed by a tour of the mill and a guided tasting of their extra virgin olive oils.
Afterward, enjoy an introductory visit to Cantina Cesari, where you'll learn about their winemaking process. The tour concludes with a tasting of three classic wines—Albana, Pignoletto, and Sangiovese—paired with traditional cured meats.
Saturday, June 14 – From Bread to Wine: Traditional Baked Goods & Wine Tasting
Discover the region’s traditions and flavors with a visit to the Piccolo Museo: I Mulini della Valle, where you’ll dive into the local history and ancient farming practices. After the tour, enjoy a tasting of freshly baked goods made using old recipes.
Then, take a guided tour of the La Riva vineyard and cellar, known for its premium sparkling wines made using the traditional method. End the day with a tasting of three wines, accompanied by tigelle montanare and cured meats.
