The Union Trail in Cammin Sentendo Mode: A Multisensory and Inclusive Experience


The Union Trail offers a multisensory and inclusive adventure, combining physical effort with an inner journey of self-discovery, connection with others, and immersion in nature. Over four days, guided by Nadia Luppi, a Dynamic-Relational Counselor with visual impairment, and Ilaria Gallino, an Environmental Hiking Guide, participants will explore the beauty of the Lambrusco hills, medieval villages, and regional flavors.

The experience alternates hiking with moments of breath, meditation, and reflection, drawing inspiration from the transformation of nature. This journey encourages personal growth and a harmonious connection with oneself and the environment.


Day 1 - Marano sul Panaro - Roccamalatina (15 km)

This is a challenging stage, but with unique places like the Sentiero dei Ponticelli, the Pieve di Trebbio church, and the first view of the Sassi di Roccamalatina.

Day 2 - Roccamalatina - Zocca

The day will begin with a guided tour of an "Acetaia'', a Balsamic Vinegar Production, where we will discover the secrets of Modena’s black gold, with an opportunity to taste it and explore the region’s flavors.
We will start from Roccamalatina, inside the Parco dei Sassi di Roccamalatina, walking through chestnut forests—an element that distinguishes this stage—interspersed with ancient villages like Castellino delle Formiche and Montalbano.
We will ascend Monte Cisterna, where there is a well-equipped picnic area. The stage will conclude in the center of Zocca, birthplace of Vasco Rossi.

Day 3 - Zocca Historic Center - Guiglia

More forests and more villages, such as Zocchetta, before reaching the fascinating Sasso di Sant’Andrea. This unexpected place deserves a visit before continuing our journey to Fattoria Basinelli, where we will end the day’s walk. In this magical place, we will begin an olfactory workshop that will guide us to discover, smell, and collect plants and flowers from the four hectares of Fattoria Basinelli, creating our own "Perfume of the Hills" to take with us as a memory of this journey.

Day 4 - Guiglia - Vignola

Points of Interest: Guiglia, Castello di Serravalle, and Savignano Alto

The final stage will bring us back to Marano sul Panaro, where we left our cars. More unforgettable panoramas and clay ravines before reaching the rows of vineyards. As on previous days, we will pass through ancient villages that will surprise us with their beauty: Castello di Serravalle and Savignano Alto.
We will reach Vignola by car to say goodbye and taste the famous Torta Barozzi, a chocolate cake with a secret recipe, at the historic Golinelli pastry shop.

General Terms and Conditions
Participant Obligations
Participants are required to:

  • Respect the departure time and the established program, adapting to any changes made by the guide.
  • Arrive in good physical and mental condition, with appropriate clothing and equipment for the hike. If in doubt, consult the guide before the excursion day.
  • Maintain disciplined behavior throughout the activity, respecting others and private property, and adhering to the guide's instructions.
  • Follow the designated route without straying or leaving the group, and never overtake the guide.
  • Collaborate with the guide for the successful execution of the activity and be supportive of their decisions, especially if difficulties arise (environmental conditions and/or participant issues), and inform the guide of any problems that arise, particularly regarding personal health or equipment.
  • Do not collect flowers, plants, or protected herbs and follow the guide’s directions.
  • Keep personal waste until reaching proper disposal bins.
  • Each participant is personally responsible for any risky behaviors, especially if they take personal actions against the guide’s advice.

Declaration of Fitness
By accepting these terms and booking the package, participants declare, under their responsibility, that they are in good health and physically fit for the hike. They also confirm they have provided the guide with any relevant information to ensure a proper assessment of their fitness.

See the list above. Hikers not properly equipped may, at the guide’s discretion, be excluded from the hike at the departure point.

Photographs and Video Recordings
During the hike, photographs and/or video recordings will be taken that may appear on public websites and will be used by the organization for promotional purposes related to the activity. If a participant does not wish to be filmed, they should inform the guide at the start of the tour. Participation in the hike implies acceptance of this policy.


Booking Procedure
Booking is required within 30 days of departure by clicking the "Book Now" button on this page.

The activity will be confirmed once at least 8 participants have registered within 30 days of departure. After this date, cancellations by the client will not be refunded. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the tour due to adverse weather conditions or force majeure. In this case, the full amount paid will be refunded.
