For approximately seven minutes, the balloon will rise above the ground, offering a unique and scenic view over the Frignano landscape, with the ridges, forests and villages of the Modena Apennines stretching out below.
Tickets cost €15 per person and advance booking is required. The balloon can accommodate a maximum of four passengers per ascent.
The balloon activity is operated by Aeronord Aerostati, a specialist balloon operator, while ticketing and reservations are managed by Modenatur.
The activity will only take place in suitable weather conditions and in full compliance with all necessary safety requirements.
The balloon ride is part of the second edition of “Sapori ad Alta Quota”, taking place on 5 and 6 September 2026 at G. Paolucci Airport in Pavullo nel Frignano. Promoted by Confcommercio Modena in collaboration with Pavullo Airport, the event celebrates the food and culinary traditions of the Modena Apennines, with the aim of showcasing local producers and telling the story of the area through its flavours.
Over the two days, visitors will have the opportunity to discover and taste a wide range of local specialities, including hamburgers, borlenghi, crescentine, artisan jams, Balsamic Vinegar, desserts, honey, local beers, wines, cheeses and traditional cured meats.
The programme also includes the opportunity to visit the airport hangars and, on Saturday 5 September from 3:30 pm until the evening, to take part in a stargazing session led by the
Gruppo Astrofili Fan di Stelle.
